About the Position

Bellefield is looking for a QA/Testing Lead to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. The selected candidate will have experience in testing mobile and web-based applications and will contribute as an individual (75% of the time) as well as lead a team of QA Engineers (25%) in automated and manual user acceptance testing activities. We are looking for an individual dedicated to making the company look good by devoting themselves to finding bugs and flaws before they reach the end user.

As a Bellefield QA Lead, you will work with talented, creative architects, engineers and designers to craft new and improved features, create engaging experiences, move the app forward rapidly while sweating the details.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead test engineers in completion of releases for the iTimekeep Family of Products
  • Manage a team to ensure our testing strategy for manual and automated testing is followed
  • Create, review and ensure test scripts and test results are documented in accordance with our defined methodology
  • Create and execute both manual and automated test plans, test cases/scripts, scenarios, and procedures for web and mobile applications
  • Ensure appropriate coverage of application functionality in the various test plans and test cases
  • Ensure standards and processes are followed and met
  • Ensure test results and metrics are collected and reported
  • Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments
  • Document software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software developers
  • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
  • Document test procedures to ensure reproducibility and compliance with standards
  • Investigate customer problems referred by technical support
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality
  • Acquire and maintain expertise of organization’s software productsContribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interfaces
  • Work with Bellefield Principals to accomplish Leading and organizational mission
  • All other duties as assigned
Required Skills
  • Experience testing web-based applications and mobile technologies
  • Experience in managing and mentoring teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to gain consensus among multiple stakeholder groups
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and solving complex problems
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Willingness to learn new skills relevant to the job
  • Excellent organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
  • 3 years experience as a manual and/or automated testing engineer
  • Must live in Pittsburgh, PA and not require Visa Sponsorship
Nice To Have
  • Familiarity with Selenium and NUnit testing tools
  • Familiarity with SQL Queries and Stored Procedures
  • Familiarity with network traffic profiling tools
  • Prior experience in legal or financial systems
  • Prior experience with time and billing system (Elite/Aderant/Tabs3/ProLaw/Juris/Rippe)
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Test Manager
  • Experience with a Continuous Integration environment
About the stack
  • Code base is in C#, TypeScript, HTML, SCSS/CSS, SQL
  • TypeScript front end using JSON based RESTful APIs
  • Hosted with Microsoft Azure and utilizing multiple Azure features
  • Work on a real-time, touch friendly web application
  • Focus on the modern web! We don’t support IE9 or earlier, so you’ll never have to worry about it
  • Interact with persistent and volatile storage solutions (including relational and no-SQL)
