In today’s very competitive legal landscape, firms are getting graded by their clients on how compliant they are and the quality of their timecard inventory. Timescore™ helps firms and its timekeepers to understand their level of timekeeping compliance so they can be more proactive and competitive.

Much like the way that a FitBit user monitors his or her daily steps goal, Timescore™ measures ongoing progress toward timekeeping compliance. Attorneys, and timekeepers in general, want to excel and comply, but they are faced with the challenge of complex and antiquated time entry interfaces that do not provide the visibility that they need to improve their performance. Timescore™ brings to life the engagement that is needed to help attorneys understand the link between their timekeeping behaviors and their performance, in order to stay in command of their accountability.

Timescore™ grades each timecard as it is entered based on its velocity. Velocity measures the difference in time from the date that time is worked and the date it is entered. For example, if you entered time today for a task completed yesterday, the velocity of that timecard is one day. The closer your timescore ™ is to 0, the better your velocity performance.

This grade is aggregated by the individual attorney and the firm as a whole. As time is entered, the Timescore™ is calculated in real time, so that you have a Timescore™ for each day, each week, each month and each year. TimeScore™ is designed to be simple and flexible enough to allow attorneys to monitor and improve their score over time.

No. Timescore™ is now a central part of iTimeKeep to help create better timekeeping performance.
Timescore™ is individual to each attorney, therefore one timekeeper is not able to view the Timescore™ of another timekeeper. Administrators that subscribe to Thrive, our time entry policy management solution, are able to view timekeeper performance through various KPIs, including Timescore™.

Timekeepers using iOS can “Duplicate & Edit” or “Delete” any time entry by swiping to the left to review the menu. The Delete option is only available for timecards that aren’t identified as ‘final’ in iTimeKeep. Android users will continue to tap and hold to “duplicate and delete.”

We’ve migrated everything to the hamburger menu located in the top left of the screen. This menu includes My Stats, Settings and more.
From the Stats screen, tap on the Timescore™. This shows the following detail:

Timescore™
is the evolution of your timekeeping performance during the selected period (week/month/year). The higher the score, the better.

Velocity
shows the evolution of your average velocity during the selected period (week/month/year). The lower the velocity, the better.

Percentage Contemporaneous
indicates the percentage of timecards that were created on the same day the work was performed (for the selected week/month/year) period. The higher, the better.
The “Daily Load (Average)” Stat helps you monitor your work/life balance. It answers questions such as: “How many hours do I work on an average day?”, “Am I working this year harder than last?“ or “This week, do I have to push a little bit harder?”
The “Non-Billable Load” helps you measure the ratio between billable/non-billable work. It answers questions such as: “Am I doing too much non-billable work?” and “Did my non-billable work increase this month?”
No. The MyStats dashboard has been designed to provide attorneys with the most important time entry stats at their fingertips.
Not at this point. It will be available in a future version of iTimeKeep Desktop.

By default, every timekeeper has a Daily Goal of 8 hours. Timekeepers can override their Daily Goal by updating their preferences in “Settings.” Learn more here.
Absolutely, iTimeKeep Admins can set the Daily Goal for all timekeepers in the Portal under “Configure iTimeKeep > Daily Hours Goal.”
Easily recover more time by entering time from the Missing Time calendar. Access the Missing Time Calendar from the hamburger menu. Days for which the Daily Goal hasn’t been reached will appear in the Missing Time calendar allowing users to swipe to the left to create a new timecard for that Work Date. Entering time is as easy as sliding a finger on that day. iTimeKeep will create a new timecard for that day.
Absolutely. Access the calendar from the hamburger menu, choose any day and swipe to the left to create a new timecard for that work date.
Not yet, but we do plan on including this in a release later this year.
You can! In iTimeKeep Desktop, you can access the calendar in the hamburger menu. Timekeepers can click through the previous months to get have real-time calendar information. In iTimeKeep Mobile, you can view prior months through My Stats.

Research indicates that users are more engaged when they are notified and reminded of the things they need to do. With the new version of iTimeKeep, we have built a smart set of notifications to help attorneys with the following:

  • Have a timer running
  • Have timers that need to be finalized
  • For future release – have draft entries that need to be completed and submitted

For the administrators and firm managers, you have found a partner with iTimeKeep. We have designed iTimeKeep to engage with your timekeepers, remind them of what is pending and, therefore, achieve better compliance and time entry performance. These notifications and reminders will be deployed via email and in-app messaging and notifications.

Users will receive timely and relevant notifications, in-app messages or emails based on user engagement, such as leaving a timer running for an extended period of time.
As an iTimeKeep user on iOS, simply accept notifications. If you do not accept notifications from iTimeKeep, you will not receive them. If you are an Android user, the default setting is to allow notifications, but they can be disabled in “settings.”
No. The notifications are now part of the iTimeKeep’s engagement functionality and they will automatically pop up based on the intelligence we’ve put in place to identify the times when a timekeeper needs a reminder.
No. Only attorneys can manager their notification settings.
No. iTimeKeep notifications have been carefully designed and tested to maximize user engagement. Our goal is to pass that knowledge along to the user experience in order to provide the maximum benefit to your firm.

At iTimeKeep, our goal is to provide timekeepers with One Experience for entering time. This means that regardless of device, timekeepers can carry out the functions that they desire in a manner that is consistent, regardless of the device that they are using. Therefore, iTimeKeep now allows for timekeepers to release time from their mobile device, or desktop, right into their billing system and avoid the reminders from the billing department. From anywhere and at any time, timekeepers can simply select “Release Time” and select from the menu the options that best suit their needs.
Release time is currently only available if the firm is running Bellefield Connect 3.1 and one of the following Time & Billing Systems: Elite Enterprise, Aderant, Elite 3E. We will notify iTimeKeep Admins as additional Time & Billing Systems have the ability to Release Time.
